Alexander Technique Teacher (mSTAT) Bates Vision Improvement Teacher (mBAVE) Sally Kirk is an Alexander Technique Teacher and a member of STAT – the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique. She has completed an accredited full time 3 year course and holds a full CRB check. She teaches in Bath and Bristol. |

She is also a Bates Vision Improvement Teacher and a member of the Bates Association of Vision Education - BAVE . She has completed the official training course with CVE (College of Vision Education).
Sally began having lessons in the Alexander Technique because of lower back and shoulder pain. |

She was surprised how quickly AT lessons allowed her to have more awareness of her whole self and could use her mind and body together in all activities, without pain. It inspired her to do the training to become an Alexander Technique Teacher.
Whilst doing the Alexander Technique training Sally noticed her eyesight improving, as she was myopic (short-sighted with astigmatism) and she became very interested in vision and what else she could do holistically to help herself improve her eyesight. She realised quickly that through better use of her whole self (body and mind) she could start to improve her own vision. It was not a quick process and required at lot of self responsibility to maintain awareness of she was using her eyes, but she felt it is was worth it. Her goal is to continue reducing her habitual eye strain and get rid of her glasses through use of Bates Vision Improvement techniques.
She has many years of experience as a teacher in schools and adult education both in the UK and abroad and she is now able to bring her skills to help teach the Alexander Technique and Bates Natural Vision Improvement in Bath, Bristol and beyond.
She runs one to one lessons with clients, small group courses and also 1/2 day introductory workshops. She also lectures for business and other local groups.
