Winter landscape on Dartmoor. Space, cold and whipping winds.

This work is about pathways and the way human interaction with the environment creates new forms and patterns. Dartmoor, being so open, is vibrant with seasonal colours and shapes from paths, walls, granite outcrops and stone circles. History is written clearly on its surface.

Heavy body acrylic paint on deep edge canvas. It was painted  quickly and I have scratched back in to the surface of the paint to reveal the canvas below and create new textures.
